Mr. Foell is starting his 28th year at SDHS and teaches Marching Band, Symphonic Band, String Orchestra, Jazz Combo, and Music Theory.  He is an active member of the Eastern Shore Band Directors Association and hosts the district V middle school band festival held at SDHS each spring.

Mr. Foell is also an active member of the Eastern Shore Orchestra Directors Association and aids in the implementation of Maryland's All Shore Orchestra Festival.  He received his bachelors in Music Education from West Virginia University and his Masters of Education from Salisbury University.

Ms. Thatcher is beginning her 1st year as the director of the band front, which includes rifles, air blades, tall silks, swing flags, and ribbons.  Choreography is designed to provide a visual concept of music played by the marching band. 

Ms. Thatcher teaches English 12.

Mr. Shuster is the percussion instructor for the Marching Band Drumline and director of the Percussion Ensemble.  He is a former student of SDHS and Mr. Foell.  He also is a Lecturer of Music at Salisbury University where he is an instructor of percussion and director of the Salisbury University Percussion Ensemble. He has been with the Stephen Decatur music program since 2010.

Christina has served as our Vice-President for the past four years and as the Secretary before that.  This is her 8th year volunteering with the program. She has one daughter attending SDHS who is a Senior this year.  She plays violin with the Orchestra.

Monica has been the Treasurer for four years.  She has been involved with the band program for over 28 years.

This is Angela's second year with the Board.  And her husband volunteers extensively. She has one daughter attending SDHS as a Junior this year, who plays the Flute/Piccolo in both the Marching and Concert  Bands.
